Enzymes Are Nature’s Solution To Cleaning

Enzymes – you’ve heard the word before, but just what are enzymes? Fact is, they’re large protein molecules found in all living things. Enzymes are energetic tools of nature that speed chemical processes or create chemical reactions.

What’s more, these enzymes are produced by natural systems. All these traits are powerful assets when it comes to maintaining a healthy home.

How Do Enzymes Work?

Enzymes bind to the target material catalyzing it into harmless basic elements. Enzymes can be classified by the types of material they work on: proteins, carbohydrates, fats, cellulose, and lipids. They can also be classified by the types of reactions they perform.

The key is that enzymes will outperform caustic chemicals and the natural oils found in other cleansers. It’s because both natural and chemical cleaners work on the same fundamental principles — acids break down alkalines, and alkalines break down acids. Harsh chemicals work well because they’re strong acids and strong alklalines, and natural cleaners are typically less effective because they’re weaker acids or alkaline. Our cleaners are completely different. We use only plant-based enzymes, just like enzyme cleaners used in the surgical suite to clean surgical instruments.

Student COVID-19 Compliance Requirements

CSUN Pioneer Leaves a Legacy to Support Minority Students in Engineering and Computer Science

As the first African American to serve as a dean of engineering in the California State University system, Alfonso F. “Rick” Ratcliffe felt obligated — and made it his life’s mission — to support minority students in engineering. Ratcliffe devoted most of his career, first as professor and then eventually as dean of CSUN’s College of Engineering and Computer Science, to that mission. Students Study Mars Soil for Signs of Ancient Life, in ARCS/NASA Project

Images by the wandering Mars rover, transmitted back some 39 million miles to Earth, show a barren landscape dotted with rocks and other natural formations. High-definition pictures of those surface elements are more revealing, exposing different patterns and textures within those structures. This summer, Rimma Hämäläinen, who is pursuing a master’s of science in mathematics, led a small group of CSUN students. Pandemic May Not Change Movie-Going Experience as Much as People Think

The pandemic and its impact on human interaction has changed the way many people do things—how they shop and how they socialize. But there is one area that California State University, Northridge film professor Nate Thomas is not too worried about, and that’s the movie-going experience. “At the moment we’re skeptical about what other people might be carrying, with how easily the COVID-19 virus can spread,” said Thomas. Recent CSUN Grads’ Documentary Named Finalist for Student Academy Awards

“Translucent” is a documentary that shows the raw reality of gender transitioning in a world where transgender representation is scarce and often inaccurate, giving a voice to someone who genuinely understands the struggle from personal experience. “I had the opportunity as a trans person and as a trans filmmaking student to tell my story, and tell it the right way,” said Avery Fox, co-creator and main subject of the documentary.
